Mantra
The mantra ek ong kar sat gur prasad, is often chanted and then repeated, but with the first three syllables and the last three syllables reversed:

Undesrtanding the mantra
Everything that surrounds us, and we, the thoughts that we generate within ourselves, come from a source.
This Mantra aligns us, our thoughts with those of the "One Creator", thus eliminating all negativity within us, in our hearts: We are part of everything inside and outside of us. And everything that every living being has part of us. We all come from that one source; then that hatred, that negativity within us vanishes.
